About Nine Reviews

 

Welcome to Nine Reviews, this is a hiphop and rap focused blog where I will share my thoughts on the latest releases in the genre. The reviews will mainly be made on to newly released albums or longer projects, however depending on interest a "Throwback Thursday Review" might be introduced. There will be no reviews on single track releases as there is not enough subject for me to review and write a post about.

My reviews will be posted about a week or two after the projects release date, this to give myself time to reflect and gather my thoughts about the project. Please note that the projects that I choose to write about are albums that I genuinely have interest in listening to. If you feel like there is an album that I have missed, then I probably have not heard it. Each review will follow a loose structure, with my previous experiences and thoughts about the artist going in to the album. Followed by my thoughts about this project and a conclusion ended by a rating out of ten. Please remember that these are my thoughts, if you disagree then that is fine and I would love to hear your review, but please keep it civil. At the end of the day music is subjective, we don't have to agree.

About me, well if you don't know my name is Joel and I've been a hiphop and Rap fanatic since a young age. In recent years I've started making music myself, and releasing it under the artist name "Jaybe Nine". Hence the name for this blog "Nine Reviews". A lot of the artist that I will review are big inspirations for me, and you might even hear that in my music. Once again, music is subjective so if there is music that I don't enjoy, I will express this with the most respect to the artist. From one artist to another, if you're happy with your own craft, it does not matter what others think.
